Challenges

Creating a seamless dashboard that integrates both buyers and sellers within the same interface, enabling real-time communication between clients and agents without cluttering the user experience. The design ensures an intuitive role-switching mechanism for clients, allowing smooth transitions without affecting the workflow. Additionally, a clear and efficient notification system is included to provide timely updates while maintaining clarity

Creating a seamless dashboard that integrates both buyers and sellers within the same interface, enabling real-time communication between clients and agents without cluttering the user experience. The design ensures an intuitive role-switching mechanism for clients, allowing smooth transitions without affecting the workflow. Additionally, a clear and efficient notification system is included to provide timely updates while maintaining clarity

Solution

  • I designed the seller dashboard to provide full control over property listings, document management, and interactions with agents. Sellers can upload, view, and manage all required documents in a dedicated repository. A direct note-sharing feature allowed sellers to communicate with agents, with notifications appearing in the agent’s dashboard. The dashboard also provides real-time details on property status, a marketing insights tab with active campaign performance metrics, and an agent activity timeline that kept sellers informed. Additionally, a built-in chat function enabled live conversations between sellers and agents, ensuring efficient communication.

  • The buyer dashboard functions as a personalized space where clients could explore properties, collaborate with agents, and refine their search preferences. Buyers have a dedicated portal for managing property interests, with the ability to save favorite listings and schedule viewings. Agents will also be able to push property listings directly to a buyer’s dashboard, and buyers can customize their search filters, with agents receiving updates on their preferences.

  • To streamline interactions between clients and agents, a notification system was implemented. This system categorized updates into client notes, activity feeds, messages, client activity tracking, and search request alerts. This ensured that buyers, sellers, and agents received only relevant and actionable notifications.

Research objectives

The primary objective of the research phase was to understand the challenges faced by both buyers and sellers in property transactions. This involved gathering insights on pain points related to document management, communication with agents, and the ability to track property updates in real time. Additionally, it was important to determine how a unified dashboard could facilitate seamless role transitions for clients who functioned as both buyers and sellers.

Design

Conclusion

The result was a cohesive, user-friendly dashboard that empowered clients to manage their property transactions with ease. Sellers could track every aspect of their listings, while buyers had a personalized space for their home search. Agents received structured notifications, enabling them to efficiently manage client interactions. This project reinforced my ability to design scalable, role-adaptive platforms that prioritize user needs while maintaining clarity and efficiency.
